There’s a famous quote,

“Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”

The time which goes never comes back with the essence it has. Major cause of wasting time unnecessarily is procrastination which completely justifies the wasting of time at our end.

Procrastination is my second favorite hobby (lol) but after joining Amal Fellowship Program, I suddenly kinda got rid of this habit due to submitting project works and completing online courses on time, that became a road to revolution in my everyday life.

Amal introduced me to the unique technique for getting rid of procrastination and that's Pomodoro Technique which compiles of completing the particular task in the timer of 25 minutes which includes mini breaks too.

I thought why not to apply this technique and throw away my laziness to complete the task without any distraction.
For this I first made a list of tasks to do in the period of 25 minutes

I took a quick look on my assignment and begin to work on it. Despite watching the tutorial on mobile, I didn’t get distracted even for a second so I completed watching the video tutorial for my assignment. This was done in 5 minutes approx.
I then started preparing for iftaar meal and made spring rolls and potato donuts it took me whole 20 minutes and I gladly completed my desired tasks in whole 25 minutes minus the one which is to make juice for iftaar. I didn’t take even 5 minutes break in between and was able to achieve what I want in that particular time.

CHALLENGE I FACED DURING THIS WHOLE TECHNIQUE:

As a procrastinator, it was difficult for me to perform tasks with a set timer as I never did it before. Many times, I thought to give up and let distractions come into my way but I managed somehow to focus on the specific ones.

IMPLICATIONS FOR FUTURE LEARNING:

Though I’ve started with the minimum tasks lists, the experience was supreme. Now I want to add more tasks to complete in a certain time to overcome procrastination and making lists of task is the best thing I did so I’ll continue doing this but adding more tasks in the list.

In the end my list looked like this.
